Thomas Vaterlaus

Thomas Vaterlaus was born in 1960 in Ermatingen, Switzerland. He was formed as a journalist at the Media Training Centre (MAZ), owned by the Swiss Television and the publisher's federation. After writing for different bigger daily newspapers, he started working in 1990 as a freelancer (for Weltwoche, Annabelle, SonntagsZeitung, etc.) and specialised on lifestyle and advertising/marketing subjects. Since 1995 he has been working for Vinum, Europe’s wine magazine in different positions. From 1997 to 2000 he was editor in chief for the Swiss edition of Vinum. In 2004 he founded a company for new strategies in wine communication, called mettler vaterlaus gmbh. Since then he has been working for Vinum and for his own company.
